It was a huge buzz to attend the Evening Times Community Champion Awards ceremony at the Pearce Institute on Thursday 26th March. We picked up the Team Award which;
" recognises the life-enhancing work of community teams, organisations, charities or a group of volunteers. For example, any group involved in fund-raising, organising community events or making the community a better or safer place."
We were very honoured to be picked from some very worthy nominees and other groups who do such great work in the community, as far as we are concerned they are all champions too.
The prize covered groups from the South West of the city and winning automatically puts us up for nomination for the City wide award which will be held in the Glasgow City Chambers in October.
